At this, Izuku snorts. What a sweet and sanitized message to the hopeful candidates. Like they weren’t about to be chased and taken like animals.
He has it all worked out. He's skillfully devised a way to hang onto some independence, even as an omega. But of course, when Izuku plans, god laughs.

Katsuki never asked to be the pack’s alpha. He doesn't hate it, but he also doesn't love it. He's been the pack alpha of his mock packs since elementary school and it's always the same insufferable dance in the spring nesting season.
Every year, in spring, the omegas of the school are encouraged to make their nest and invite their favourite alpha or beta to spend the day with.
It's always fucking horrible.

Here's the thing, Midoriya Izuku is a good person, always has been. He's such a good person that he's basically a pushover for anybody. And most people know this about him. Nobody ever really uses it to their advantage, though, mainly because they know that he has a whole army of friends and family looking out for him. So nobody even tries it with him because they figure it's not worth it. Except for one person, who knows how to get whatever he wants from Izuku anytime he wants it, who knows that he could ask Izuku to jump, and the omega would gladly do that and a flip just for him.
Or: Izuku is Katsuki's mom, and they love each other just a little too much.
