'I'll go take a look,' Qifrey said and stood up. Olruggio let out a deep sigh and Coco followed behind Qifrey immediately. Qifrey held out a hand to stop her. 'Alone.'
'No, I'm coming with you.' Coco had a determined glint in her eyes.
'Coco…'
'I have to go! If it's really him, then I—' she trailed off, throwing a hesitant glance over her shoulder at the rest of their group. They were listening intently to their discussion. Coco lowered her voice and continued. 'I have to be the one to talk to him.'
'We'll all go,' Olruggio said decisively.

Summary
The sun was sinking, leaving the sky with a purple tint, when Qifrey and his apprentices finally returned. Olruggio, who’d been raiding the kitchen, stopped short as he heard the door open. Through it came a large bundle of midnight blue cloth with legs. The cloth was adorned with small specks, glittering in the light as the bundle was readjusted and Qifrey’s head popped out from behind it, glasses and hat both slightly askew.
‘Hi, Olly,’ Qifrey said cheerily as the girls hurried into the atelier behind him and over to the crackling fire, rubbing their hands on their arms.
‘What’s this?’
‘It’s our new blanket,’ Tetia said excitedly.
