He doesn’t know how much of a fight he has left in him anymore after 300 years, but he dies with his hands curled up into fists just in case, each finger slowly uncurling with each final breath he takes, alone with no one to surround him as he finally succumbs to his injuries, but his soul is free at last. At last.
