    “I’ll do it!” he cried eagerly. “This time I’ll definitely get that stubborn jerk to listen to me, dattebayo!”

    “Oh, and there’s one more thing you should know,” Hagoromo said as the vibration intensified to a loud hum. “I will be sending your spirit back to a time before you were born, so you will be in a different body—another reincarnation of Ashura. Best of luck. The fate of the world is in your hands.”

    Naruto’s eyes widened. “Another...? Wait, what—?”

    He opens his eyes, and stares up at the canopy of the four poster bed he's in. It takes a second, his vision is a bit blurry, but it clears up quick enough.

    Two seconds.

    Three seconds.

    Four seconds.

    Part of Jason keeps the count going, while the rest of him kind of just...seizes. Because he knows this canopy. He knows the the posts it's attached to. He—fuck—he knows the notch in the bottom left post he'd put in it when he'd stolen one of Bruce's batarangs when he was twelve and thrown it around like the stupid kid he'd been.

    This was Jason's room.

     

    Or, the one where Jason gets zapped with magic, wakes up in his teenage body, and decides to let the timeline know exactly how fucked it is. He also becomes the president of the Tim Drake Appreciation Club.

    Tim Drake died at seventeen, his family long broken beyond repair.
    A Cuckoo finally rid from the nest.

    But when he wakes up in his time, just a year after the Graysons death and appearance of the first Robin.
    Tim wouldnt let his family suffer again, even if it meant he couldnt join them.

    Bruce Wayne is not "Brucie Wayne"
    Tim Drake is not "Timothy Drake"

    They are both personas, a front to prevent people from looking at whats really under the surface. But sooner or later Tim should have known Gotham being a city of secrets, nothing stays buried forever. Especially not when the bats get involved with their trashy next door neighbor whose behavior seems more and more contradictory.

    Tim had saved them all more times than he could count, maybe this time they could return the favor.
