Phenomenally written, researched, beta’ed, and plotted. Absolutely amazingly done, with compelling characters, actually believable emotions and reactions. The trauma responses feel so real and believable, the characters aren’t just getting over it after one talk until it is convenient to the plot, they actually struggle at realistic times and to realistic triggers. The characters feel alive, it is stunning.
I just finished chapter 23, though I am still in the process of reading this wonderful story.

Sebastian stood, making his stance firm, and blocked a Diffindo from his uncle. Now, it's my turn. He lifted his wand and made the precise movement from the spellbook, then began the incantation: "Avada Ked--".
A painful blast knocked the wind out of him, throwing him across the room. He hit his head hard, and could barely sit up, but he saw his attacker from across the room. She stood there, eyes glowing, hands helping her dictate her wants to the Ancient Magic. Did she attack me? How could she? “Why?” he called out to her, with his entire body throbbing. He began to sit up, with the intention to move to his feet, but she pressed one of her hands down into an invisible force, and Sebastian was unable to move.
“S-stay down, Sebastian. P-please.” Her voice broke, and she was trembling so intensely he could see it from across the room.

This is what I wrote on the last chapter:
“I loved your take on Solomon. He gave Sebastian no room to do anything right in the game, and even though Sebastian is accountable for his own actions, Solomon didn’t give Sebastian any room to actually be good with his actions. I do feel that if he had approached things differently that Sebastian wouldn’t have felt quite as desperate or feel as much that there was no other option.
“I wonder if things had been different in the game if we’d have been able to change things, even slightly, for the better.
“I appreciate that you took this approach, but also showed that change is a process. I think your whole fic showed this exceptionally. I look forward to reading the next one :)”

I made a dark mode site skin that embraces the classic red. Apparently AO3 didn't allow for users to make their skins public anymore so I decided to post it like this!
The skin makes the background black and the text white. Grey and the classic red are accent colours!
Works for desktop and phone great! Feel free to edit and use the CSS however you'd like! But keep in mind this was my first time coding so the CSS is a mess for those of you who are actually good at coding.

Summary
There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time update this and take a crack at finishing it. (Links and Images are in, the new Audio and Video tags are not.)
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.

I cannot lose this fic. It is just brilliant. I think Earth-1999999 Spider-Man and Earth-1610 Spider-Man would absolutely have each other’s backs if they had met here.
It also brings up several really good points that I haven’t thought of before, especially about Miguel contradicting himself with some of the stuff he claims and what “actually happened.”
I would love to see that explored more in other fics, so maybe I should write one? I’ll have to think about ir

I really like where this went. It makes sense from an in-world perspective and it really answers that question I had of what happened to Clarita. Excellent work, well written, and I liked how it wasn’t all hopeful, since it felt more true to the series that way.
