After a few seconds of insistence from both sides, Max and Kate became a tangle of arms and legs, with the remote control slipping from both their hands a few times before being quickly recovered by Max, continuing that senseless battle.
Amidst laughter and reluctance from both sides, their body movements went out of control for a second, short enough to be stopped but long enough for one of Max's knees to end up fitting perfectly between Kate's legs. Unfortunately – or fortunately, Kate didn’t know yet – Marsh had decided to just change into her pajamas later that night, which led her into that situation while wearing her usual skirt. As if that wasn't embarrassing enough, unlike her, Caulfield was already dressed in her pajama shorts, meaning the only fabric separating Kate's heat from Max's skin was her simple, white cotton panties.
