Summary
Tyler Galpin would make the perfect addition to the Addams family tree. What would have happened if part of the psychic connection between Wednesday Addams and the entire plot to raise Joseph Crackstone had been more than the blood seal on his crypt? What if part of that connection was Tyler Galpin himself, the monster in the woods that she had been so obsessed with, and the boy she had let herself begin to fall for? What would have happened if Wednesday had succeeded at becoming the master of the Hyde, the boy, who was used against her by a much more dangerous predator? What if this new bond between Hyde and Master was always meant to fall into place, and came with some very unexpected extra ties between them?
Based on yours truly, an upset writer and media consumer, being unhappy that there were no trusted adults for anyone within the Wednesday TV show and that Tyler Galpin (who I am an avid defender of) was re-traumatized instead of offered the redemption, healing, and connection that I think he deserves.
I hope y'all are in for the long haul because this is going to be an extensive slow burn that covers a lot of ground. I have a LOT of ideas for this universe!

What’s in the heart of a Hyde? Is it purely dark and filled with hatred, or is it still possible to make it flicker?
Tyler Galpin is done with mothers and masters. His heart can’t take any more sorrows and rejections. He believes himself to be a lost cause. But yet, when Isadora Capri, the new principal at Nevermore Academy, offers him the opportunity to enroll in a special rehabilitation program for outcasts whose abilities have made them dangerous to others, he reluctantly agrees.
The moment he steps into the school, the whispers and gasps start. They all fear him. Everyone but Wednesday Addams.

When another string of Hyde attacks occurs, Tyler becomes the prime suspect. With no one on his side, he is about to give up when an unlikely ally steps forward: Wednesday Addams. She believes he’s innocent, asking him to aid her in the investigation. But they have to work fast, before Tyler is deemed too dangerous and sent to another asylum. The hunt for the culprit leads right into Tyler’s past and makes him question whether what he believes about himself is actually true. Summary
The quiet sting of humiliation coiled inwards, seizing painfully in the silence of the office and yet she swallowed it down. Miss Capri already had plenty to say about her allegedly stiff hand; Wednesday refused to curl her hand against her sternum like she desperately wanted to. She forced herself to remain still, fists loose at her sides.
“They aren’t wolves…”Her voice was low, cutting. “Are they?”
There was no guilt. Instead, Capri’s shoulders loosened, some of the tension leaving her – but not quite disappearing completely. What remained looked tired. The measured phrasing, the quick half-baked explanations – had been a weight. She seemed relieved to have finally set it down.
“No.” She said quietly. “They aren’t.”

As all of her leads slowly start to turn cold, Wednesday receives a letter from Isadora Capri, claiming that her recently-formed pack are willing to assist her in the search for Enid. Soon enough, it is revealed to be a lie. Wednesday was brought there for one reason, and one reason only.Tyler Galpin is dying.
