Summary
The team has to choose one of their own to give up the memories of the one they love most in order to leave a planet guarded by an ancient being. Shocking everyone, Lance gives up his memories of Keith. Faster than a blink, without a sound, they vanish into the ether. With no way to return them, devastation quickly follows, especially when Keith makes his highly anticipated return. Lost and grieving the knowledge Lance returned the fledgling love building between the two paladins, Keith makes the decision to pursue him in the hopes of rediscovering the bond they once shared.
If only he could get Lance to stay in the same room as him for more than 5 minutes.
OR
Lance loses his memories. Keith loses his mind. The universe is losing its shit and falling to pieces right alongside the star-crossed lovers. As the team fights to defeat the Galra Empire once and for all, their minds - and hearts - find their way back to each other, slowly but surely. With one miserable heart full of memories and the other bewildered and barren, it's a harrowing journey to say the least.

When Pidge, Hunk, and Lance take off to join Keith and rescue Shiro only to launch into space, the Galaxy Garrison didn’t reveal much to the parents about where their missing students went, just spouted some cold line about them disappearing after a training accident. Deserters, they claimed.
The McClains-particular Mama McClain-refuse to believe this, and hold onto the prayer that somewhere, somehow, their brother, uncle, nephew, son, is safe, and will be home soon. When the sky darkens though, it becomes much harder to hold up that hope and it keeps Mama McClain up late into the night.

In canon, we’re told Lance got his Altean marks as a reminder of his love for Allura.
But what if he got them through different means? What if they stood as a living memento for him to look at every time he sees his own image, reflecting his inherent belonging to the lions as their paladin?
His story may have begun in the sunny beaches of Varadero, but Lance has traveled far further than he ever thought he would, sprawling out across the universe with first Blue, then Red. But what if there comes a time after the original lion swap in which Keith and Shiro are both indisposed and Lance needs to step up to the plate and pilot Black?
Will she accept him? Or will the barrier remain raised once more, leaving the fate of the universe on the wrong side of history?

Summary
Shiro, Lance thought half heartedly, was a total jerk.
Lately, it seemed like whenever there was a stealth mission his first thought was to partner the blue and red paladins together. At least when he had himself fooled he could pretend he tracked every single thing Keith did because he didn’t want to be caught off guard and lose some imagined competition, but now? Nowadays, he had to admit he was more focused on the way the sleek blade mission suits clung to the alpha’s abs and set off his sharp jawline.
All that to say, as much as they butted heads, Lance and Keith were a force to be reckoned with-infiltrating this base should’ve been no different than sneaking into the last. Naturally, this is where things take a turn.
OR
After crushing on Keith for months, Lance unexpectedly goes into heat during an infiltration mission where the two paladins are completely isolated from the team and have to make it in and out of the base before getting caught. How do Lance and Keith work around his heat when they get trapped in an alcove pressed together head to toe, and can't leave because there's guards in the hallway? The fun way of course ;)

Summary
Keith’s voice is exasperated but desert warm, “the team sharpshooter and...the co-leader of Voltron—” His eyelashes flutter over his cheeks delicately, casting creeping shadows beneath his eyes. Lance is so distracted by them he almost doesn’t process Keith's next words “—and my partner. In every way that matters. The one person who always has my back.”
Lance is...floored. And also a little emotional. His eyes are burning and the smile he tries to summon is wobbly. Keith lifts a hand and wipes away the wetness beneath Lance’s eyes. His own smile is apologetic, marshmallow soft at the edges.
“I didn’t mean to make you cry.”
Laughter bursts out of Lance’s chest unbidden. The words are soft, surprised, innocent.
He presses his cheek to Keith’s palm, turning his face and mumbling into it. Lips ghosting over the callouses. “God, I love you so much.”
“What?”
