Summary
The first time Lan Wangji had come to him, it had been a rainy day, just like this one. It had been pouring that morning when Lan Wangji had appeared out of the storm, drunk and drenched, grabbing him by the collar with shaking hands.
“How could you?” he had hissed. “How could you?”
Lan Wangji had lowered his head, letting out a sob. If there had been tears on his face that night, they had been lost in the rain.
“You killed him.”
[The first chapter was written for the prompt: Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji have a standing once a month hook up that started during the years Wei Wuian was dead. At first, it was hate fucking, but it turned into feelings that they both ignored. After Wei Wuxian returns, Jiang Cheng assumes the standing monthly hookup has stopped. Except cue one month after the temple events, Lan Wangji shows up with Wei Wuxian in tow.
The second chapter was written for the prompt: Zhanchengxian where Wangxian praise and worship Jiang Cheng because he’s feeling insecure and like he doesn’t fit.]

Well, they wouldn’t be waiting because Lan Zhan of course was ready early enough, but had to spend a solid hour looking at Wei Ying digging into his closet because he couldn’t decide what to wear, annoy the shit out of Lan Zhan, who was already pretty stressed about the date that Wei Ying had set him on.
“It’s my little brother. We haven’t been keeping in touch since I moved out, but we bumped at each other lately and talked for a while,” Wei Ying said undressing shamelessly in front of Lan Zhan and putting on another red dress. “So as soon as i found out he’s still single and miserable just like you,” he fished out his lipstick from the drawer and silenced for a minute as he was painting his lips crimson, observing Lan Zhan in the mirror.
“I just couldn’t resist to mention how my gorgeous best friend is single too and would gladly take him to a nice place where you two can drink, dance and go upstairs,” Wei Ying giggled.
Lan Zhan rolled his eyes.

Now he has to figure out how to get them to not give up, defeat the Wen, and help Jiang Cheng rebuild the Lotus Pier. And find a way to re-grow Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji's golden cores. The journey will be hard, but not one he can in good conscience avoid.
