None of this was ever supposed to happen. Samira was supposed to be dedicated to her studies, not getting distracted by having feelings for someone she was never supposed to have feelings for. Emery was never supposed to happen.
Everything with Emery was supposed to just be some summer fling, something thrilling and fun while the campus was a ghost town and her thesis advisor was away for a couple of months.
