She looked at the line of people standing across the road. Charles turned her head to the side, tucking a few strands of hair behind her ear to better stare at the other woman.
There was also the fact that Charles would absolutely not have picked this outfit just to go back to her dorm and peel it off in defeat.

The Spaniard snorts, and somehow it still is flattering, and Charles may only be a little jealous of it. “You mean you didn’t?”
His silence seems to be answer enough, as he continues to avoid Carlos’ gaze.
“Do you think I love him?” Charles finally asks, afraid of the answer, but curious nonetheless.
“You mean you don’t?”
