Summary
This work is a sequel to The Portrait of Sirius Black, second in the Bringing Back Sirius Black series! Please refer back to the first work if you haven't already read it before reading this one.
After her less-than-glorious triumph with the resurrection potion, Hermione has to deal with the ramifications of her actions. It's a totally new experience for her as she begins to understand just how far-reaching those consequences will be. After all, no one's ever actually resurrected someone from the dead before. She and Sirius will navigate their new normal together as she attempts to finish out her sixth year.
Since the beginning of her year has been so fraught with bringing him back, surely the rest of the year will be smooth sailing. Right? Or maybe Harry is right, and Draco is up to no good. And is that admiration she's receiving for her mad potions and charms skills? It's only a matter of time before things get complicated.

Harry rubs his eyes with the back of his hand then blinks a few times before he looks right at her, his eyes just as green and full of life as she remembers.
“Hermione?” He asks, his voice all scratchy but unquestionably his, Harry’s. “Why did you take an ageing potion?” A strange sound forms in her throat and Harry raises his hand to touch her cheek. “Are you alright?”
Hermione shakes her head and squeezes her eyes shut against the hot ache behind them.
“You can’t be real.” But even as she says it, his arms reach for her and he holds her close, and she listens to his heart as it beats frantically in his chest, just under where her ear is pressed. -
