Kim Soleum felt himself dozing off, which was embarrassing, because he hadn’t even opened his birthday gifts yet. Just as he thought about getting up, he felt a blanket be draped over him and a hand ruffle his hair. Kim Soleum could feel the sofa sink from the weight of another person– or multiple people– settling on the couch, but when another hand, a different one, settled on his hair and ruffled it gently, Kim Soleum closed his eyes and let his head rest on J3’s.
Someone quietly turned down the volume on the tv, and all Kim Soleum could hear was the soft chattering behind him and the soft snoring of the people next to him.
It was warm, in this living room. It was safe. All the people he cared about, in one place. All of them, turning up to celebrate his birthday.

The donut is soft. The frozen icing cracks under the pressure of your teeth, and all you taste is sweet cloying sugar and if you don’t focus you can pretend you don’t taste any blood.
Well. You focused on that statement. So now you could feel the blood, you could feel it in your mouth, as thick as honey and the taste of iron and the way you had so desperately tried to throw it back up but you couldn’t because one of your jaws was still clamped over the neck of–

It’s only due to the fact that he’s grown accustomed to staying silent and making sure not to make any sudden noises that he doesn’t immediately start running away from this psychopath.
“What is it,” Baek Saheon gritted out. Damnit, this was his room. Couldn’t this bastard knock first? Or even put on a shirt before entering?
“Braun,” Kim Soleum says, his eyes darting about Baek Saheon’s room. “Did you see Braun?”
Baek Saheon pauses.
“Who the hell is Braun?” slips out of his mouth before he can help it.
