A SNEAK PEAK OF MY NEXT FIC...
A single tragedy can alter the fate of everything.
Marinette never received the Ladybug miraculous. She honestly barely feels like she makes it though the day, let alone imagines universe where she could be a hero. For three years, the only good thing in her life has been the sudden existence of miraculous heroes, Bella Fortuna and Chat Noir. And even that is more of a gleam of hope for the Paris, not for the lonely girl in the back of a class.
She wasn't good, or strong, or nice, but out of everyone who wants to be a hero and join the heroes in defeating Hawkmoth, she's the one who comes into possession of a broken Peacock brooch.

The name slipped out like a curse. Quiet, accidental, but sharp as shattered glass.
Harry froze.
So did Dumbledore.
It hung in the air for a second. Two. An eternity, maybe. Harry's hands, clenched at his sides, loosened just enough to tremble.
"What did you just call me?" he said, voice low. Controlled.
