Link was a hero. He was a hero who fulfilled his destiny, defeated Ganondorf, sealed him away and saved the princess. He was supposed to go home, have a family, grow old. Anything but this.
She couldn’t force her eyes from his crumpled form. From the body of the hero. From the body of her friend.
Cracking of the bones that sheltered his heart echoed loudly in her mind, making her want to gag.
