“I know you always meet a girl named Lily when we are in Boston. That’s why I wanted to take you out tonight, to distract you from… whatever.”
”I don’t.” Shane deadpanned.
“Dude, you are so red right now even thinking about it.”
”I’m drunk,” he huffed out, feeling his lip pop out in a small pout once again.
Hayden chuckled, “no, you’re cute.”
Shane looked down at him with wide eyes, feeling his face grow into what he was sure was a deeper shade of red. Hayden just looked at him without a big stupid grin on his face, his cheeks tinged a shade of red himself.
It was then he realized the position he was in, straddling his friend’s lap. Which normally wouldn’t be weird, except his friend has definitely never looked at him like that before.
“Ummm,” Shane breathed out, trying to scramble off to his side of the room, but Hayden grabbed onto his wrist, holding him in place.
“I thought we agreed you were staying in my bed tonight?” Hayden whispered.____

I've read to chapter 3, so far
Interesting tension between Ilya/Shane and Hayden/Shane, with Shane's autistic self really really struggling with the nuance and the emotions of it all. Especially when his two "casual" sex partners lie to his face about not having emotions about it all. Poor bugger. -

Summary
Kukri kept sending me media about “Robbing the Hood” and telling me to watch it, that I’d understand what was going on better if I did, but I had no interest in watching people rob Hoods, whatever those were. I didn’t like robbing in real life (I did it because I had to not because I wanted to) and I doubted I’d like it in media.
Shortly after hacking its governor module, a rogue SecUnit is involved in an ill-fated space battle and finds itself alone save for the company of a mourning raider ship bot pilot. It would like to spend the rest of its life watching media in what remains of the ship's crew quarters, but it turns out that "the rest of its life" wouldn't be long at all without the money to pay for proper maintenance. There seems to be only one way to get that money.
