Aziraphale Fell is bone-achingly lonely. He has his collection of curious, old books and enough money to live quite comfortably for the rest of his life without earning another quid. But no one truly knows him, and he spends most days wrestling with the uneasy sensation of being a fraud in his own story. It’s desperation that drives him to hire an escort on his birthday, hoping to happily exist as himself for just one night.
Anthony Crowley shed his blue-blood life like a too-tight skin. He’s living by his own rules, fixing motorbikes and making money as an escort…which suits him perfectly, except for when he’s feeling terribly alone. One night there’s a call out of the blue. The voice on the other end is prim and fumbling, asking him if he’d like to meet up…just for the evening, money is not a problem. And Crowley can’t help but be very, very intrigued.
