Summary
Jiang Wanyin had claimed Wei Wuxian left when they were sleeping, that they had planned on going back to Lotus Pier, to fight against the Wen stronghold that was there, to reclaim the bodies of Jiang Fengmian and Yu Ziyuan - and Wei Wuxian had fled, run, disappeared, vanished.
He claimed that he woke up, and Wei Wuxian was gone, not a single trace of him in the space they had found to sleep in.
Immediately, others were giving Jiang Wanyin their condolences for having such a disobedient disciple, for Wei Wuxian fleeing in the night after everything he had caused, leaving the aftermath to be faced alone by Jiang Wanyin.
Lan Wangji had never believed such a story.

“There is no way for a dead cultivator to return,” Jiang Cheng scoffed, not even willing to entertain the thought.
“Perhaps, perhaps not,” Nie Huaisang shrugged, “Even if he came back, that wouldn’t do much to help, would it? Your sister is still gone. His reputation still damaged.”
“Stop speaking in riddles,” Jiang Wanyin growled, “What did you come here for, Nie Huaisang?”
“I asked you what you would do for your brother back,” Nie Huaisang started, “I would do anything to have mine back, Jiang Wanyin. And I’m here to offer you that same choice. Because our brothers’ deaths never should have happened. They happened because of schemes and plots. They happened because of lies and deception. Your brother was made to be a villain and was led to his death because he was too powerful. Mine was murdered because he stood in the way of Jin Guangshan.”
There's nothing Jiang Cheng wouldn't do to have his siblings back. And when Nie Huaisang comes to him with a proposal to save them by changing everything, he doesn't even hesitate to agree.

Summary
Less than two weeks before the arranged marriage between Mo Xuanyu and Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian transmigrates into Mo Xuanyu's body from another universe.
Lan Wangji had never had any interest in Mo Xuanyu, but had been forced to agree to the marriage when the Jin laid a trap for him.

Summary
The long awaited part two of the Teapot Plot has arrived.
As the plot thickens, Wei Wuxian has his hands full of his recovery. It's not so simple to concentrate and heal when all he wants to do is confront the sect that is planning to drive him from his family just when life is finally going good.
Luckily for his healing core there's plenty of people around to keep him on track to recovery, and they all want a part in dealing with the sect leader behind everything.
Back in Gusu it's clear that change is needed if Wei Wuxian will ever call it home, and Lan Xichen intends to see that change happen no matter whose world view he needs to shatter.
