Dragons left the realm long ago and only stories and bones remain of what once were the magnificent beasts, dragons are merely a glory of the past now but... what if not all the dragons died off? What if a singular dragon egg had hatched on accident one night, and by the will of The Seven, the small hatchling was gifted with the ability to change forms, to hide amongst the people it once soared above?

What if the Prince the realm deemed insane and deluded was actually true in his claim that the symbol of his house remained strong? What if he had a deep soul aching pull in his heart due to being apart from his destined bond, the dragon he should soar the skies with and become one with.

Summary
Dunk was a hedge knight who followed the laws of men; Aerion was a prince who believed he was a fire-breathing god. In a world of Alphas and Omegas, the gods have a cruel sense of humor.

Summary
A dragon hatchling is found by Aerion Targaryen who is absolutely thrilled to finally have his own dragon. - or - No one knows how Duncan ended up with a dragon egg, not even the man himself. More so, the fact that he manages to successfully-more like accidentally- hatch it is even more ridiculous.
Oh, and it’s all told from the dragon’s ever so reliable POV of course.
