Summary
The final battle against Lady Bone Demon went just as planned, except for one. Mk had completely disappeared from the battlefield along with the ivory lady, leaving his family and friends in despair and none the wiser about where their hero had gone.
Meanwhile, Mk has to fight his hardest battle yet, resist breaking under the confinement of Lady Bone Demon and do it alone.
Better explanation: LBD realised her loss and fled last minute, but not before stealing the main problem in her plan. If fate would not allow his death then maybe she would allow his use instead.
The hyperfixation bingo picked Monkie Kid for the time being and I'm obsessed with “what if it went wrong” fics (even though there's a lot to fuel me) so I'm writing my own!
Just to clarify that I don't ship LBD and Mk at all, she's insane, a villain. I just like to write bad endings and LBD just wants a shiny new war criminal.

Summary
He wasn't quite leaning into MK, but he kept inching closer in that way he did, when he was just waiting for MK to sling an arm around his shoulders to pull him close. MK liked to pretend he didn't notice, to see how close Red would come on his own, or if he'd snap and just grab MK's wrist to wrap it around his shoulders himself.
