"Ah, yes. Your usual philosophy. Smash it, break it, bleed it dry. Tell me, Crocodile, do you ever stop and savor your work, or do you just grind everything to dust the moment it ceases to amuse you?"
"That’s rich, coming from you. How many employers have you turned on, exactly? How many knives have you left buried in men’s backs while you walked away?" Crocodile retorted.
Robin lifted a brow. "Not nearly as many as you've gutted outright, I imagine. You always did have a problem with patience.”
Robin receives an invitation from Crocodile, and her curiosity wins out over her wariness.
Their conversation is laced with old wounds, veiled threats, discussions about torture methods and something that might almost pass for camaraderie (or flirting)—if it weren’t built on mutual betrayal.
And Buggy, who happens to hear everything, is completely done with it.
