if you want you can call this the stardust epilogue because that was the name of a post canon au i was going to write and never got around tothis is organised in timeline order but the lack of longform stuff means the timeline is kind of loose and only exists in my brain. someday perhaps but today is not that day.

Abolish rolled up the end of his glove to reveal two puncture wounds on his wrist, the skin raised where the scar tissue had healed around it.
“Oh,” Elle shuddered and leaned back heavily in her chair, “Right.”
It doesn’t really seem fair to let your friend die just so you can avoid the paperwork, so, in the wake of Martyn and Ren’s death, Abolish begrudgingly accepts vampirism. He wasn’t too fussed either way, if he was being totally honest, and if there was a chance to let the doc live, then he’s fine to pay the price.
It’s been a year, and Abolish and Legs have been working side-by-side- sire and fledgeling- in Abolish’s organisation, and they’ve mostly managed to put Oakhurst behind them.
But then someone knocks on the door of the organisation, asking for their help. They’re looking for their friend, who had gone missing somewhere near the town they’d been trying so desperately to forget about.

After Avid's betrayal of the town, everyone starts bickering. The town's doctor leaves, needing some time to himself. While he's out he decides to see if it's possible to get through the fog surrounding the area. His attempt is unsuccessful, and he nearly freezes to death. He wakes up in the castle with two vampires that are eager to care for him and refuse to accept his view that he doesn't deserve to be loved.
What he'll never know is that they don't have plans of letting him go.
