Before Jimmy can even fully process what happened, the overly fancy prick walked off. Jimmy grumbled to himself, he’s sure he has a headache now with the amount of thinking he just did throughout that entire interaction; he swears he can still feel the burn of his touch directly on his calloused hand. It was unusual of Gord, the fact it seemed like in his own weird way he was flirting with him. Jimmy isn’t unknown to flirting, he knows playful banter like that isn’t something that occurred between him and Gord. A hopeful feeling simmered in the pit of his stomach, like he actually wanted Gord to be flirting with him. He didn’t want to dwell on it any longer. Two things he got from that entire interaction: 1. Fifty bucks and 2. Gord is really appealing to look at.

Summary
When Pat Butcher answers an ad for a spacious room in a modest house (£200pm, bills included?!), he’s not sure exactly what to expect. And then he arrives and the house is actually a mansion and the owner - the elusive and mysterious Captain - is more than a bit strange. He keeps odd hours, he talks to himself, he’s always a bit sickly, he never really eats much, and he’s always wearing that old uniform.
It makes no difference to Pat though; everyone's got their stuff and a house is a house after all. Maybe one day he’ll look back at this fondly as the beginning of an unlikely friendship.This is a comedy, I promise (except for when it's not).
