If he follows her not with his spells but with his hands and his body and his tongue. What happens if he pushes his hands into her hair and stays there, kisses the tips of her ears like daggers, draws her into him as much as she’s drawn him into her.

And a few pumps of that cinnamon syrup, too.”
Neil’s generally pretty good at not reacting to what customers order, but he must’ve let something slip through, because the guy raises his hands defensively and quickly adds:
“Hey, cut me some slack, man. I’m trying to quit amphetamines.”
