So. Because I can't bring myself to write even though I'm full of ideas, and I can't draw overly well enough to want to share it, I have decided to show my appreciation through podfics, since reading aloud is something that I've been told I'm at least okay at.
Also, taking classes for public speaking is so not up my alley. If I'm going to have to get used to speaking more clearly and with better pronunciation and enunciation, might as well do it in a way that's also appreciative towards the amazing people that write fanfiction

In 1993, Gilderoy Lockhart points a stolen wand at Harry Potter and Ron Weasley with the intent to Obliviate them. The wand doesn't backfire. Gilderoy's "discovery" of the Chamber of Secrets is a short-term success.
Other consequences are not short-term at all.
Archived Author's Notes:
I was watching the Chamber of Secrets movie several years back when the scene in question began to play...and immediately I wanted to know what would happen if the wand had done what it was supposed to do. The answer got very complicated, very, *very* quickly.Blame Edgar Allan Poe for the title.

CH. 10 (Snape and unicorns)
Literally as soon as I finished it (this thing took me 12 straight hours), I went back and started to read it again. Its Just. That. Good.
Also, this book starts in 3rd year, not immediately what happened right after Lockhart. Voldemort dies somewhere in the middle, and the rest is about reforming the Wizarding World. This is also almost completely from Severus' POV, which honestly makes it even better (or is what actually makes it the best.)
Helpful Potion Shit:ch.6 Potions info, cauldrons. Starts mid-chapter and only in the letters. Memory projection potion created
ch.16 Harry stumps Snape by turning Shrinking Solution into ever-expanding multiplication of miniature test subjects
ch.18 house hourglasses destroyed
