Thalia only snorted and lightly slapped his chest. “You couldn’t kill me even if you tried, Castellan. Cut the bullshit.”

Hera could admit to herself that once or twice during the service her mind wandered towards the man next to her. His choice of words, actions and the way he held himself. The combination seemed to make him… more unique compared to most people Hera had interacted with.
And why did his smile seem so stuck in her head?

Hera was quite content with her life as a priestess of Lord Volo in one of his many temples. She never found herself second-guessing her decision, even if it meant giving up on others things she would have liked.
A new visitor to the temple however has the young priestess feeling more tempted than she ever was before.
