Morro gets two new siblings and watches in fascination as his entire childhood gets consumed by a make-believe game full of Ninjas and, for some reason, snakes??
Morro loved playing with Kai, even if he was a lot younger and didn't understand a lot of things.
For instance– the six-year-old didn’t seem to understand that Ninjas don’t usually have powers or wear bright colors.
Or: This started with a 'what if Ninjago was the imagination of a bunch of kids,' but then I started to get sentimental about growing up with the show and how I feel about Dragons Rising.

Kaz Rietveld died in the harbor when he was nine. Soon after, Kaz Brekker appeared in Ketterdam, spinning the story of two lives he’d taken already at such a young age. The deaths of two farmboys from Lij he insisted were his own doing, his own fault.
Rumors of the deaths of the Rietveld boys at Brekker's hands spread.

He was released from the hospital after some time, and was sent once again into more foster homes. This time, he refused to get attached. He was sent from foster home to foster home, not staying for more than a year each, until he finally was able to get himself his own apartment. In that apartment, he was once again forced to cook, because he could not order take out every day of his life. His skills were a bit rusty, but he managed to get back into it, and found that cooking was one of the only comforts he had left in life.
