Summary
Alright. I've been convinced to post some of my partially-stated sad little stories. Heads up - they are disjointed, and while fully fleshed out in my head, they are *not* written in any sort of order, and just kinda "put words down as brain lets". If anyone wants to run with one of them, feel free! Hopefully I'll get back around to these someday, but in the meantime, here I guess? I'll try to add bits of context at the beginning of each one and where I wanted to go with it.

Summary
Harry Potter wasn't always Harry Potter. He doesn't remember who he was before, exactly, but it wasn't Harry Potter. Most of the personal details are gone, or hazy at best. He doesn't remember his name or his family or friends. He doesn't remember what gender he was, or how old he was. What he does remember is information. Information from classes and books and movies. Funnily enough, he remembers the Harry Potter books.
Harry doesn't know quite what to do with these memories. Mostly he experiments with magic, with learning how his new ability works, while trying to avoid the wrath of the Dursley's who seem to be much more abusive then he thought they really should be. He tries to forget that he has a role to play, pretends that he isn't the wizarding worlds savior, and that he can have his own life. He revels in his ability to work with the magic he could only enjoy in fantasy books before.
At Hogwarts he does his best to follow the script, which, surprisingly, is harder then he would have thought. Little details out of place land his friends in different houses. He's pretty sure he isn't supposed to trust the twinkling headmaster. And why in the world does the Voldy-parasite not match the horcrux in his head?

Summary
The uncomfortable truth is that Harry can understand why he did it, all of it. He understands perfectly that there have always been bigger concerns than one lonely, misused boy (or two) at stake, that there is a Greater Good here the man has always been striving toward since longer than Harry's been alive. He gets it.
That doesn't make it hurt any less. It doesn't mean that Harry can forgive him either.
It doesn't mean that he can take back the way it's already changed his relationship with the man he thought was supposed to be his prophesied enemy. Or that he would want to now even if he could.
Their destiny is not to destroy each other as he once believed, although it still could be. It's more complicated than that. Their destiny is to make their own destiny, together, or be torn apart by it. He knows which one he prefers.

Summary
It takes another minute for Harry’s head to clear up, for him to make sense of the expression he’s seeing because the man, Voldemort, his mortal enemy, has yet to move, his face frozen on that one expression.
It’s a cross-section of several emotions, to be exact. Bemusement, consternation, denial.
Yet should one look deeper into those red, red eyes, naked longing shines in them. It twists Harry’s stomach into knots.
Or: In which Voldemort discovers what Harry is when possessing him in the Ministry Atrium—that Harry belongs to him.
