Summary
Bulma Briefs has been kidnapped. The first question, is who kidnapped her. After defeating the Lady Bone Demon, life in Megapolis has returned to normal. However, for one lonely ex-assassin, adjusting to a peaceful lifestyle has been difficult. Centuries spent lurking in the shadows, hunting those that have hunted him, and running from his past has left the Six-Eared Macaque wary of starting a new life.
Despite that, he finds himself in the presence of an an old friend and a new ally.
Even after everything he did, MK wants Macaque to co-mentor him alongside Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. For what reason? Macaque isn't sure, but he knows that this has got to be the worst idea that kid could ever have.

Summary
Things have fallen into a comfortable routine for Sun Wukong following the defeat of Azure Lion. MK is making progress with his new form, especially under the watch of both the Monkey King and Macaque. But when Macaque is seriously hurt during what should have been a regular fight, Wukong is forced to acknowledge his past mistakes and unresolved tensions that still remain between the two.

Summary
Azure has been defeated, the group has been repairing things on Flower Fruit Mountain, and things seem to be calm for now. But Macaque feels uneasy. He decides to finally use his ability to listen to the future, and what he hears sends him into a panic. Not only is there a new threat in the near future, but this threat has a weapon that neither Wukong nor he can defend themselves against.
How is he supposed to enjoy his afterlife when all these villains keep trying to hurt his new troupe?

Summary
Having lived through everything he had, this part always felt silly. The sitting, the breathing, and the waiting. His life was in no danger. That the logic of that wasn't enough on its own to ease the pain-- or flush out the stress that made his hands shake-- was as unfair as it was ridiculous. Baser instincts that kept a creature alive were vestigial at best when that creature existed beyond the normal laws of mortality, and yet every demon was still bound to them.
Many could avoid fate. But not even heaven, nor its equals, could escape fear.-
Macaque is invited along to celebrate the new year, and errs on the side of proving a point.
