I had the honor of writing this piece for "My Devotion to You", a Zestmilla Community Zine. Many thanks to InsanityOfMams for organizing and editing the project, and for inviting me to participate. I hope it's as enjoyable to read as it was to write for me. Please, if you have the time, go and check the compilation out. Summary
Carmilla Carmine died and woke up in Hell many decades ago. Throughout those decades, her soul has become numb, her nights dreamless, and her hopes for something better nonexistent; she lives her day-to-day afterlife like a ghost. She looks forward to nothing, follows her routine monotonously, and works under her boss with efficiency but without conviction or passion. However, all of that changes after one fateful encounter with a powerful Overlord, which, unknown to her at the time, would set a sequence of events into motion that ultimately leads her to discover that, even in Hell, happiness can be earned, as long as one has the courage to not let an opportunity slip by.

Summary
Zestial had only ever seen Carmilla dance once before, but that single memory burned his insides like hunger, desperate to relive it. For that reason, when he hears music coming his dearest friend's private dance studio, he could not stop his body from approaching the doors. Against his better judgement, he sneaks a glance inside, mentally prepared to face her anger and disappointment when he inevitably gets caught spying on her, and offer any type of apology she sees fit.
So it really comes as a surprise to him when he is caught and all he gets is a smile.

Summary
For eons, it had been a well-known fact that sinners were barren. It was a Heavenly decree. Just another part of damnation: That sinners would never be granted the blessing of children. So why now—on top of her relationship with Zestial, her fears of retribution for her part in Vox's uprising, and the continued struggles of being a mother in Hell—did Carmilla Carmine find herself contending with symptoms she knew all too well from the pregnancies of her human life?
It was impossible.
At least it should have been, if not for the actions of a naive but well-intentioned angel, starting to revoke Heaven's unfair decrees. Conveniently without ever thinking to give Hell a head's up.

The nervousness is still present, like it was with Odette and Clara. Just different reasons.
Zestial won't change how he acts.
She knows that.
It's only the place they're in she's worried about.

Summary
After his last fight with Alastor, Charlie was furious. Furious enough to ask him to leave the hotel temporarily.
Back in his lonely palace, Lucifer decides he’s not willing to fail his daughter once more—she deserves the best (even if he doesn’t know how to give it to her). Maybe he needs a guide. Someone in a similar position who isn’t a complete failure like him.
…
Or: Charlie asks Lucifer for some time apart, and he discovers that Carmilla and Zestial are excellent company for finding his own redemption.

Summary
Carmine never expected to fall in love with a demon, let alone one that called her Lady, and went around trying to play doctor. Zestial never expected to spend the first couple of years of his afterlife on Earth but then again not everyone had the chance to die on the border in-between the realms, so he had that to deal with. At least he didn't have plague anymore.
Now Carmine just has to guide him to Hell and go back to Heaven and handle the falling out of her choosing not to kill a demon. What's the worst that can happen? It's not like she's going to fall so deeply in love with this twig of a sinner that she'll fall out of Heaven. Right?

Summary
Carmilla Estrada was not a good person in life, but tried to be. When she died and ended up in Hell, she tried to start anew as the star ballerina of the Pentagram Phil-Hellmonic and barely survives her first Extermination, and saves an anbandoned Exorcist, Rodolfo Carmine.
After nursing the angel back to health, the Sinner forms a partnership, both romantic and business-wise, with him and begin an arms-dealing ring trafficking angelic weapons left behind after the Exterminations. Their romance soon resulted in her becoming pregnant. Logically, she shouldn’t be since Sinners can’t reproduce, and feared her safety and her baby’s, but Rodolfo promised to love and protect both Carmilla and their child.When Rodolfo is killed protecting his pregnant wife, Carmilla takes refuge with the Spider Overlord Zestial, an ally of Rodolfo’s. He not only helps with her business and provides safety for her and her infant daughters, but helps fill a void in her life, and heart.
