Will tried to swallow down the last of his fear, but his throat felt like sandpaper.
“Take me.”
Those milky eyes fixed on him, and a warped brow lifted, as if asking him to repeat himself.
Even though the cold seeped into him, like he was drifting backwards into a freezer, Will didn’t take the way out.
“Take me,” he repeated, his voice still shaky, but he held Vecna’s gaze. “Take me instead of Holly. I’ll come to you. I won’t fight. Just finish it already.”
Vecna was silent for a long, agonizing moment, but then, a smile curled across his twisted face.
“Deal.”---
Will offers himself to Vecna in exchange for Holly’s safety.
Mike takes this about as well as can be expected. -

Mike speaks up, “Guys! Shut up! This is just my evil cousin Miles from Maine, he’s visiting for a month. I literally told you this yesterday!”
“Dude, you did not mention he looks exactly like you!” The curly haired one exclaims.
“Does it matter?! Besides, we're not that similar.”
“Are you kidding me? If you had better hair, you’d be identical!” The redhead grins.
“Whatever. My hair’s fine. Miles, these are my friends, Dustin, Lucas, Max and Will.” he points to everyone as he gives their names.
“Will liked his hair…” Max mutters off-handedly and Mike glares at her.
Miles’ eyes are still locked with Will as he considers his name.

Miles Fairchild hates that he's forced to spend his summer in boring old Hawkins with his obnoxious cousin Mike Wheeler. Except when he meets a certain friend of Mike's he might just change his mind. Maybe the summer won't be a waste after all, if he could get the pretty boy to like him and spend all his time with him. Plus as a perk it might drive Mike insane, so win-win, honestly.

Except Mike can't stop thinking about Will. Can't stop noticing everything about him. Can't stop wanting to be near him constantly.

It’s a whisper, but it’s filled with something so earnest, so true, that it strikes through Mike’s very core. Rips apart at his chest, with the familiarity of it. The way his name sounds in this younger Will’s throat, soft and gentle and so, so relieved.
“Will,” Mike says back, matching his whisper. “Hey, Will, it’s me. Mike.”
“But—” Will frowns. He’s so unsure, Mike wants to cry for him. “You’re so tall.”
