If this body is not your's, are you still the same? If these memories are not your's, are you still you? Where is the divide between who we were and who we are now? There's too many new faces and not enough old ones.
Memories still plague us. Memories of loss, of terror, of sadness. Thank God the happy memories stayed too though.
Truth be told, there is no unchanging self. I suppose we were always changing and growing. But everything is new now. We're new. Reborn into bodies that feel familiar but are not our own. Born into safe and loving arms. Born without one another.
We are no longer cattle. We are no longer branded and caged. We are no longer food. We are free and the world is our canvas to paint whatever we want on.
But we're so lonely in this sinking ship of Theseus.
(Aka: Everyone is reborn in the human world.)

All Might never dropped the slime villain. Midoriya never got One For All. Hopelessness burns admiration into resentment. Saved from his own self-disgust of being quirkless by a soon-to-be half fire/half ice hero, a new obsession arises. And Shigaraki is more than happy to take in an upcoming villain with hatred that mirrors his own. He’ll even help get anything and anyone he wants.
But what happens when a villain gets a soft spot? Can villains even have those? It’s a little weird but they figure it out. And it gets even weirder when Todoroki family drama is involved. And a dog apparently. Maybe the bad guys are just little broken and fate has cursed them to be that way. Or maybe someone’s been pulling the strings since the day All Might turned his back on Midoriya on that rooftop.
Midoriya x Todoroki: toxic obsession gone… well? (Give them time, they’re working on it)
Shigaraki x Dabi: lowkey roommates to lovers (And they’re both weirded out about it)
Bakugo x Kirishima: the trauma don’t stop coming (Bakugo really needs ptsd counseling in this one)

The whole world shifted as the black wind swirled around them, twisting and contorting to create broken fractals in the flow of time and space. Yaldabaoth pulled his hand across the air over them, a movement as if ripping apart the weave of fate itself.
Joker gasped as bizarre doors flickered into existence.
One, a monolithic set of stone doors engraved with an alien image, cracked open to reveal a terrifying eye swimming in a void. The next, a glowing white shoji door exuding a strange energy that prickled at their very souls. The third, a circular ornate gate set in the floor, the bulging eyes at the top drank in the scenery as its gaping mouth pooled with vile black sludge. The final was nothing more than a fluctuating cloud of black and purple mist.
