Summary
Starting UA is a gamble for kids whose whole legal documents were forged the month before. Aizawa Shota applied anyway. He just had to fly under the radar so they didn't look too close. But being the resident "Alley Cat" meant he had plenty of experience. Coast through UA. Simple task. Cats are often sniffed out and spotted by dogs and mice. Unfortunately for this Alley Cat, the head of his department was both, and a bear as well. Oh my.

Summary
Sixty years ago, Emperor Garmadon took over Ninjago and the age of the Dark Empire began. After years of training, Kai and his companions attempt to finally put a stop to his evil rule, but their mission fails and Kai is the only one left in the ashes of their defeat. He's captured and tortured until the day comes that Emperor Garmadon finds a use for him—to become the personal bodyguard of his only son, Lloyd. Kai agrees with no intention of following through on any of Garmadon's orders, but when he becomes attached to the boy, he starts to believe that with Lloyd there is hope for the future.
But the road to hell is paved with good intentions. With his new life's purpose, to put the boy on a path of good, Kai is faced with the inevitable price of sacrificing his own soul.
All the while, the companions he'd thought long gone work relentlessly to build up a rebellion to face the Empire of the Darkest Night and get revenge for the supposed "death" of their lost friend.

Summary
Both New York and the Hidden City are bustling once again. People online - as well as the local street corner lunatic - are already claiming the Krang invasion was just some big government conspiracy despite the fact that the lines between human, yokai, and mutant are starting to blur. It's business as usual again, at least that's what Leo tries to tell himself. His brothers have finally stopped hovering, they're going on missions together again and stirring up trouble just like before. Surely his current bout of insomnia and restlessness was nothing to worry about.
What he needed was a distraction; training and meditation was too familiar, too routine, so maybe he could pick up a new hobby, or find a new friend to hang out with? As much as he loved his big extended family - Draxum unfortunately included - sometimes they cared too much.
A low-stakes friendship was just what he needed. Someone outside of the family that didn't know about his past injuries, past mistakes, or anything about his past in general. That was the one and only reason he kept seeking out that rabbit.

Summary
The four intruders were standing near each other at the outskirts of the lab. Apart from some minor scuff marks and scratches marring their features, they seemed in decent shape, ready to attack in a moment’s notice. Yet their forms were sloppy. Amateurish. The weapons held by three of the four were stolen from Draxum’s stash, which Leo knew only because he’d originally stolen them in the first place.
Little details that paled in comparison to one glaring thing.
Oh, Leo thought. They survived.
