Summary
Sam is excited when Circus Gothica rolls into town, but apparently, Danny hates the circus—almost has a personal vendetta against it. That doesn't stop him from being drawn to it, and more specifically to a certain ringmaster's magical crystal ball. Sam and Tucker try and fail to save their friend from Freakshow's control. They think all hope is lost.
Then Circus Gothica rolls into Gotham, and there's a kid there named Dick Grayson who happens to adore the circus. And wouldn't you know it, there’s also a string of robberies that started the same night the train arrived. Maybe Batman and Robin should pay it a visit.

Aquaman flipped through another parchment. "And to take all of our shadows as soon as we arrived at the Watchtower. There must be a great power in play in order to make such a coordinated attack."
At the word 'shadows,' Bruce felt a sense of dread settle over his shoulders. Tim wouldn't. Not the Justice League. Not Batman's colleagues and friends and people Clark said he had to be nice to.
