    Summary

Svetlana knows about Jane. It's frankly insulting for Ilyusha to think otherwise.

She just never expected to have to call him for help. During the Olympics. In Russia. In the dead of night.

    -
Or, it's Sochi 2014 and Russia has lost to Latvia. Grigori Rozanov, not yet compromised by illness, punishes his son for shaming the family. When Svetlana finds an injured and emotionally fragile Ilya, she knows she needs somewhere safe for him to recover. And there's only one person in Russia who Sveta trusts with her Ilyusha: Canada's Golden Boy, Shane Hollander.

    Summary

Alpha Ilya has been named Chief of Winterhaven, after the death of his father, the former iron-fisted chief. This territory, in the frigid north of a fantastical medieval world, prepares for winter with low food stocks, a fear of Ilya's inexperience, and an unspoken terror of what is the early signs of a long and cruel winter ahead. Ilya feels the weight of his village's entire life on his shoulders and threatens to crush him.

Omega Shane is is a traveling apothecary, who came to Winterhaven seeking knowledge of herbs and the hopes of temporary shelter from the winter to come. He's a man who has wandered for most of his life, fleeing a past of abuse, violence, and rejection. All because he refuses to placate Alphas with half-truths and lies, and instead always speaks his mind, especially when the lives of others are on the line because of foolish pride.

Sparks ignite between Alpha and Omega, as Ilya realizes Shane's wisdom can protect and improve his village's outdated customs and save the lives of his people and Shane realizes that Ilya might be the only Alpha who will hear and respect him, body and mind.

    Summary

Two years of playing together, and it still hit him every time. The casualness of it. My husband. Said out loud, in public. After years of hiding—stolen moments in hotel rooms, careful distance in public, the constant exhausting performance of just teammates, just rivals, nothing to see here—now Ilya could say it like it was nothing. Like it was easy, like it was the most natural thing in the world.

    Because it was. Finally.

In which Ilya Hollander-Rozanov cannot shut up about his husband. (Subtitled: No one asked, Ilya. Ilya. No one asked.)

    Summary

When the unsentimental financial imperative of the NHL sees Shane traded to the Boston Raiders, he and Ilya are thrown into closer extended proximity than ever before. As they adjust to life as teammates, they are forced to contend with the nature of their relationship -and must answer for themselves: is it even a relationship at all?
    ____

Sliding down the wall, Shane hunched over his untied sneakers, shoved on hastily when Coach had called him in for a meeting after morning skate.

“Boston wanted you specifically. I’ve already spoken to their GM. You’re flying this evening or tomorrow morning: I’ll confirm once the paperwork clears.”

    “Mom,” Shane managed.

“Oh sweetie. I know, okay. Those fuckers, how dare they do this! Two fucking cups! Now all of a sudden they decide they want a reset and you’re going to fund it.”

Shane put his head between his knees and tried to breathe. God, Boston. They hated him there; it was so far away; he was fucking their captain.

    Summary

Shane Hollander works at a coffee shop, plays hockey, keeps his head down, and doesn’t ask questions he doesn’t need the answers to.

So when a new regular starts showing up—quiet, watchful, Russian-accented, and conducting invitation-only meetings in the back—Shane notices. When that same man takes an unsettling interest in Shane’s closing shifts, his routines, and his safety, Shane does what feels sensible: he adjusts his behavior and keeps his mouth shut.

Ilya Rozanov orders an Americano. He reads, but only in Russian. He worries when people work late alone.

They are operating with very different definitions of danger.

If he didn’t ask questions, he couldn’t be lied to.

    The rules were simple.

    1. Do not ask questions you don’t need the answer to.
    2. Do not share personal information freely.
    3. Do not be alone with Ilya Rozanov.
    4. Do not give him a reason to think you’re afraid.
