Living in a tiny bubble frozen in time was not Kon's definition of a good life, but it wasn't like he'd had a choice in the matter. Everything he had known and loved vanished in an instant when the universe rearranged itself, leaving him stranded in an imitation of the Kent farm for, however long. He didn't think time really existed there.
Then one moment there was a break in the shield that kept him safe. Trapped. He didn't think too much about it when he stepped through. Bart had often said that his devil-may-care attitude would one day leave him in more trouble than he could handle.
In the blink of an eye, he found himself in a painfully familiar city. Gotham looked every bit as grimy and shady as he remembered, there were some differences, the technology was more advanced, but the people were just as he recalled. Honestly, he was glad the tiny crack had spat him out in Gotham and not Metropolis or Kansas. He didn't think he could stomach seeing the faces of who had been his family and have them look at him like a stranger.
He knew the Bats wouldn't look twice at another face on the streets unless he called attention to himself. That would have to work to his advantage.

Tim had a problem. A vampire problem. It had been going on for a couple of weeks, the feeling of eyes watching him. Like he was being hunted when he was home alone, and due to the nature of how he lived, that was more often than not. It wasn’t his fault that he preferred the seclusion of the manor he’d been left in his parents’ passing. It might have been his fault that the vampire felt comfortable enough to stick around.

He had intended to leave before rush hour but got too caught up in a case that he lost track of time. He had to run to catch the train if he wanted to make it on time, and slipped into the packed subway car just as the doors slid closed.
Or, Tim wears a cute little skirt and gets felt up while on a train.

Straightening to his full height, Tim finally got a good look at the hulking figure in spite of the dark. Pale eyes widened in horror. This whole time, he thought he was running from some deranged beast, but this was a man.
Or Kon and J.J. have some fun in the woods like the freaks that they are.

It wasn’t like Jason had lied, anyway. If there was one person that had worse daddy issues than Jason did, it was this poor son of a bitch, and Conner was still able to stare his sins in the face, then shrug and forgive him.
Forgiveness was much lighter and much less guilt-ridden than Jason expected, and he wanted more of it.
