Summary
Strade, a person who adores machines, adores the intention and humanity behind them, meets Sentinel, a man who thinks he abandoned his humanity to become a machine, when he actually did the opposite. He's a being of nothing but intentions, optimized to do what he loves.
Sentinel is obsessed with subjecting himself to whims of the worst of humanity, only to take them apart in a dissection, an act of bloody adoration. An innocent crush on a snuff film killer spirals into stalking, and the stalking spirals into obsession. It isn’t long before he engineers a plot to fall right into Strade’s eager lap.
But as Strade starts to unravel him, how long can he maintain his illusion of control? He's happy to be nothing but a tool in Strade's hands, something to be taken apart, displayed, or even used as a weapon to kill. Reduced to just another murder machine in Strade's workshop.
