Summary
Sometimes the darkness she crossed an ocean and a continent to escape sneaks between the cracks and threatens to drag Blake down. Sometimes she feels like she’s speaking in a different language, or walks on a slightly different plane of existence from the people around her. Ilia says Blake is doing ok— but if she is, why is it so hard for her to talk to the beautiful girl who comes into the coffee shop? And why can’t she find a model for her final thesis portfolio?
Yang clings fiercely to her public image, even the not-so-flattering parts of it. Blake discovers the magic of creating new traditions.
Yang learns how beautiful it can be to see the familiar through the eyes of someone you love.~This fic is a thoroughly self-indulgent plunge into a slightly Beehaw AU that I have been working on. It takes place after the main fic, after Blake has moved in with Yang on her little farm in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Yang is a farrier (a person who trims hooves, and smiths and fits horseshoes), and she specializes in training for Natural Horsemanship. Blake is a professional equestrienne (dressage and eventing), who writes for equestrian magazines and blogs to make ends meet.~

“Nah, it didn’t go to waste,” Luffy assured him. “After Helmeppo left, Zoro made me pick up the dirty smushed up onigiri and feed him it all anyway! Then he told me to tell Rika it was delicious.”
“Huh.” Sanji got up, looking thoughtful as he turned back to the kitchen. The rest of the crew still looked fascinated by the story of Zoro’s recruitment.

Summary
It irked Zoro that upon meeting him, a whirlwind of limbs, blue eyes and a cigarette dangling from his cocky smile, something in his gut flip-flopped, instead of the usual, clear feeling he usually got when he met men, like a natural yes/no answer. Obviously, the lovesick fool greatly admired women, ceaselessly shouting his love for them at any opportunity. But he had met many a man like that who still sought to warm his bed- and Sanji was... well, Sanji . His simple existence riled Zoro up like no other. And why does it matter to him what the shitty cook’s preferences are anyways?
OR
Zoro secretely learns French to understand Sanji. Because that’s obviously the easiest way to learn if the cook likes men.
