    Loyalty. What did it mean?

    As the Second Titan War raged across the United States, Half-Bloods began to pick sides. To some Half-Bloods, loyalty meant fighting for their godly parent. For some Half-Bloods it meant standing beside their friends. Sometimes those two definitions of loyalty clashed. They pulled to either side of the war.

    And sometimes, Half-Bloods picked the wrong side.

    When the war comes to a close, the traitor Luke Castellan repents of his actions long enough to kill Kronos and is given a funeral with honor. His final act granted him redemption.

    But what about the living? Who redeems them in the eyes of the gods?

    This is the story of three Half-Bloods who become the sacrificial lambs on the altar of repentance to the Olympians. Because the Olympians have been called many things, but forgiving is not one of them.

    Look. He didn’t ask to be stuck in some scummy city in New Jersey of all places. If it was up to him, he’d still be in his mom’s apartment in New York, in the only home he’d ever known. But that was over. And sure it sucked, but it was fine. Percy was a New Yorker, and more importantly, he was a Jackson. He was more than capable of taking care of himself. Besides, it was New Jersey. He wasn’t going to let it best him.

    "Or trouble finding me," Percy muttered. He looked up at Batman with suspicion. "Wait, have you been monitoring me?"

    Batman's silence was answer enough.

    "Dude!" Percy exclaimed. "That's a major invasion of privacy! I've been through enough without having the Bat-stalker checking my vital signs!"

    "Your bioreadings during the Battle of Manhattan were concerning," Batman stated, unapologetic.

    Percy barely had time to think—one second, he was blowing up a volcano, the next, he was face-first in grimy Gotham city.

    The city was wrong. Way too dark. Way too chaotic. And way too many people in masks.

    Getting home should’ve been simple: lay low, find water, don’t pick a fight. Instead, he’s dodging thugs, outpacing monsters that shouldn’t be here, and worst of all—trying to stay off the radar of Gotham’s own urban legends.

    Because the last thing Percy needs? A brooding, costume-wearing detective with too much time on his hands asking too many questions.

    Percy Jackson survives Mount St. Helens—only to wake up in Gotham. Injured, exhausted, and completely out of his element, he has one goal: get home. Between criminal empires, lurking monsters, and one very persistent Bat, that’s easier said than done.

    OR: Olympus meets Gotham. Percy just wants to leave, but the city—and its vigilantes—aren’t so keen on letting him go.
