The sound of the cabin door creaking open pulled you out of your thoughts, and you glanced at the door with a sleepy gaze. Brown eyes with a golden hue stared back at you.
“Hey,” MK muttered into the quiet air. A bit of tension left his shoulders as he surveyed you, confirming to himself that you were okay and just resting.
You smiled at him and waved. Sandy had requested for you not to strain your vocal chords any further, so, unless you had something important to say, voice rest and tea would be the only thing you would be concerned about.
MK returned the gesture shakily before he walked in, closing the door behind him and leaving everyone else out on the deck. “I…” the monkey boy started. His eyes darted around the room before finally meeting yours. He sighed, the exhalation weak and quivery. “I am… so, so sorry.”

If there was one thing Pigsy had learnt over the years, a good meal could be the key to fixing most things. MK running away whilst he was working? No worries, someone will bring him back in exchange for a bowl of noodles. Tang refusing to stop reading to make something to eat? Pigsy already had a bowl prepared.

"Well-" the scholar coughed "He did, in a way."
"How ?"
"Well- Thanks to him, the monk reached the Buddha and was able to deliver the scrolls- and he is loved by a lot of people ! They even built a temple for him !" Tang scratched the back of his head. "What I meant was that you will always exist, as long as you have people who care about you." he kissed the kid's forehead. "And I love you, MK. And so does Pigsy, and Mei."
"Yeah..." MK giggled "I love you too, Mr. Tang."
