Summary
Latin; a dead language with no practical applications except perhaps the deciphering of old texts and as a particularly quaint party trick.
Thankfully, as Harry finds out, Latin is not as dead as he was first taught when he decided to learn the language. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, of course; he loved Latin, and would have been proud to know it even had it been as useless as it was pretty. But in the world of Wizards, the world of Magic, Harry realizes his rare talent with words is particularly valuable, and allows him to use magic that no one's ever heard of, that no one's ever seen. But as time goes on, and he becomes more and more entangled in the webs spun by those around him, he starts to realize just how deep the magical rabbit hole goes and how dangerous power like his can be.
All Harry had ever wanted was for the world to make sense.

"Harry distracts Voldemort (without thinking) by calling him "Daddy" in the middle of the battle in Parseltounge. It works and Voldemort loses his mind. People ask him what he said but he is too ashamed to admit it, only that "hey it worked." Harry's comments keep getting filthier and filthier when they fight until Voldemort can't take it anymore."

With exams looming and Umbridge with more power than ever Harry is at the end of his tether so decides to try writing a letter to Voldemort, in an effort to stop the nightmares/visions that, admittedly, mean absolutely nothing to him.
This one little act will spark a chain of events that can lead to massive changes in the wizarding world, but will it be for better or worse.

The creature floated closer and all common sense that should have told him to step back was non-existent. Instead, Harry took a step closer.
It was obvious what the creature wanted. He only stared for a moment, no hesitance before his eyes slipped closed and he took.

Katsuki stiffened. Kirishima and Kaminari froze. Basically, everyone within earshot stopped what they were doing to look at Izuku like he sprouted a second head. What did he just call him? “What the fuck did you just say to me?”
Katsuki whipped his head towards Izuku with his signature death glare as he stood up from where he picked up the fallen supplies.
“U-um I said you dropped some pencils! I think this eraser might be yours to-”
“No. What the fuck did you just call me?”
Izuku starts calling him Bakugou and it pisses the explosive teen off a lot more than he thought it would

When Tom Riddle performed a ritual that would take him to the greatest enemy he would ever face in his life, he had a few expectations for what would come. He expected someone similar to Albus Dumbledore, someone overly-righteous and unbelievably ignorant. He expected to defeat them promptly, for no adversary could be more powerful than himself. He expected to be unrestrained in his efforts to become the new Dark Lord of the Wizarding World once his enemy was dead.
What he did not expect was to be catapulted into the year 2008. He did not expect to be greeted by the ten-year anniversary of the death of Lord Voldemort. And he most certainly did not expect Harry Potter, his supposed downfall.
Good thing Harry had been looking for something to liven up his recently monotonous life.

There was another student here.
Tom recognized him vaguely—while transfer students were not necessarily uncommon due to the war, they were rare enough to at least make an impression. This particular transfer student was in his year, sorted into Ravenclaw after an impressively long hat stall. He looked like he might be descended from the Potter line, but he did not share the surname so his lineage was of no particular interest to Tom. Nothing about him was of particular interest to Tom, in fact, and yet here he stood, holding the book that Tom had come here to find.
It would be a good time to turn away. The Restricted Section was restricted for a reason—only books documenting extremely dangerous or extremely advanced magic were stored here.
Tom’s feet, however, suddenly felt as if they were made of lead. It wasn’t magic keeping him tied down, but something far more mysterious like curiosity or even fate. In any case, the delay was all it took for the Ravenclaw to lift his chin and meet Tom’s eyes.
This Ravenclaw, Tom realized, had eyes as blindingly green as the Killing Curse.
