Summary
Cole, the Black Ninja, has been waiting MONTHS for Mr. Chen's Bakery to open. Not just cause he loves cake, but because he's been idolizing the celebrity owner's (Kai Smith) social media for years.
However, Cole wishes he could figure out what's Nya's problem with Kai Smith. Surely, it's not that bad... right? Whatever it is, she'll need to get over it when Kai becomes a target for attacks and kidnapping, requiring the Ninja Team to bodyguard him (but hey, free sweets).
If that's not enough, there's a new player in town. A dangerous high-rank member of the Anacondrai Cult called the Red Shogun who has been hunting down Elemental Masters. Cole really hopes they can defeat him soon so he can focus on cake (and staring at Kai's face).
Meanwhile, Kai doesn't know what's going to kill him first. His work as the Red Shogun, Black's Flirting, or his countless other secrets... he just wants to feed his new friends, damnit!

Kai wakes in the middle of nowhere, in a Ninjago he no longer belongs to. He has no sister, no family, and nothing but blood on his hands, violence on his tongue and memories of people who no longer know him.
He sets to work.~ ~ ~
The First Spinjitzu Master gives what Kai can only interpret as a look of pity. "It will be difficult, impossible even. And you will have to do it alone." His empty eyes bear into Kai from the shadows of his face. "Do you understand me, Master of Fire? No one will remember you. No one will know you. You will not exist to anyone." He pauses, and Kai startles to hear a thread of pure sorrow in his voice. "You will not exist to them."
