It's always a surprise when this happens. Jason was never able to relax at Bruce's home when he was younger. Too rich at first, then later too full of memories. But now it seems to be the only place he relaxes completely. Or, well. Not the Manor exactly. But this. This ritual he and Bruce created for themselves.

They could beat each other up a bit and then when their captor, or captors, made a mistake they would fuck them up and leave. Simple. Easy. Probably. Not... Not whatever the fuck this guy is implying. Because Jason's mind refuses to make sense of what was just insinuated. -

Summary
This series is a Batman x Addams Family Crossover, where instead of being resurrected as a result of the whole Superboy Prime thing, Jason Todd is resurrected by Gotham Herself. Which has some consequences.
I picked DC, and Addams Family, canon and retcons, put it all in a blender, and after it was all mixed, I cherry-picked the bits I wanted to use.

ATENTION: this series will be tagged "Batman - All Media Types" and "Addams Family - All Media Types" in almost all stories, because these are the basis of my AU. And, "DCU" when I am unsure if a non-Bat or non-Addams character shows enough to merit their Fandons tagged or not. Like cameos, or short appearances.
I DID BORROW SOME CONCEPTS FROM OTHER FANDOMS, but I will NOT be listing them because they won't really be crossovers.
Unless a different Fandom ends up having an actual crossover in a SPECIFIC story of this series, then and ONLY then, said fandom will be listed ON THAT SPECIFIC story.
I don't want to falsely advertise something I won't be delivering.

And a part of Buggy wants to say yes, because for all his yells and complaints, he loves Shanks, loves this boy who he grew up with, this stupid red head who became his brother.
He loves him, but he isn't blind to his faults, to the fear and desperation and anger in his brother's eyes. There's something possessive in the way he grabs Buggy, possessive like Captain, possessive like I-chose-you-my-friend-my-crewmate-mine-
And Buggy loves Shanks, but he doesn't want that.

Sanji has a nasty habit of denying himself little luxuries. Sleeping in, hot food, the unconditional love of his crew. He's used to it though; used to getting up at the crack of dawn to prepare breakfast, used to working on an empty stomach to ensure everyone else is fed, used to serving up pieces of himself and getting nothing in return.
He can't afford those luxuries. Not even on his birthday.

About a decade ago now, Sanji had started joking with their friends that while he himself was aging like a fine wine, Zoro was aging like milk, or perhaps a head of cabbage someone had left to wilt in the sun.
In reality Sanji thought perhaps a nice 27 year brandy was a more apt comparison; just as intoxicating and desirable, but dark and robust, complex on the palette and smooth on the finish, and still just as strong as the day it was bottled.
