It was amazing after all this time that Vash was still extending the olive branch, though this was the most hesitant form of invitation he had received yet.
He felt his lip curl, because Vash always used these tactics, always went below the belt and preyed on his never-ending desire to see his twin. It wasn’t fair, because Nai had now come to accept that the love they felt for each other would never be equal. He didn’t have the open heart that his twin did. He only wanted Vash, and it had been that powerful, gripping love that had driven the wedge between them.

Vergil reaches his arm forward to him, and his thumb cleans the side of Nero’s mouth, the side of his lips where he still had some chocolate syrup and he hadn’t noticed. Yes he had napkins, yes he could’ve just licked his lips to clean himself, this is a new level of embarrassment, and yet he doesn’t mind too much.
