Summary
The Kaleidoscope is a special grade cursed object that can either send someone through time or send them to another dimension. Mahito uses it on Nanami instead of killing him and sends him back to his first year at Jujutsu Tech.
Even if he is not quite sure if it is time travel or a hallucination, Nanami still vows to make sure the world doesn't go to as much shit as it did. So he decides to save Haibara. And Geto. And Gojo. And everyone else.
But Kenjaku is still in the background scheming. And there is not one, but two other people who came into the past with an unknowing Nanami.

It's a horrible day when a clearly executed set up by the higher ups works so well. A simple case of investigating a cursed womb in a detention center had killed one of his students and was nearly successful in murdering the other two. However, something’s off about what happened. All three of his students are scarred like war veterans; One won’t talk about the incident, the other is missing an eye, and the other one is dead and missing a finger. No matter how he looks at it, Satoru knows that something’s not right.
Rotten cursed energy swells like a wave. The potency of it suffocates everything in the morgue.
They stare at the body, waiting for the outcome. It drags its body into a sitting position, then raises a pale hand to its face. Almost absently, it traces a finger at the corner of its mouth. The rotten cursed energy hangs stagnant in the air. Satoru is almost sure the body is missing Sukuna’s eye slits.
The body remains silent, so he’s unsure if the body is Yuji, or Sukuna.
The body then opens its mouth.
“Ah,” it rasps, “it seems that some scars do go soul deep.”
