“Something’s not right,” Leon said. He turned towards Piers, nodding at the ground. “Did you see that?”
There were bloodstains on the asphalt, and that made unease gather in Piers’ gut. It looked like bloody bootprints, and there might’ve been a perfectly reasonable explanation for all of it, but… yeah it was suspicious as hell. “Wanna go take a look together?” he asked.
“No,” Leon said, shaking his head. “Just fill up. I’m gonna look around a bit.”
