Her expression turned immediately apologetic, “We do, but unfortunately reservations are required,”
“Potter? Is that you?” Harry turned to look over his shoulder and froze.
Approaching him, a polite frown on his brow, was Draco Malfoy.
He’d always stood a few inches taller than Harry, but he suddenly seemed exceptionally tall and regal in his baby pink, velvet suit jacket, his smart black trousers and his crisp white shirt and matching white bow tie. His hair, though cut short at the sides and around the back, was longer and coifed back stylishly at the top. Did he… did he find Malfoy attractive?
Oh. Oh, Merlin no.

Summary
Draco Malfoy had done alright for himself after the war. He had built himself from the ground up as a Private Investigator, one of Wizarding Britain's best. He prided himself on his stellar reputation and his ability to track down his targets. When he was contracted to hunt down the elusive Harry Potter, who had abandoned Wizarding society almost a decade previously and had not been seen since, he knew he had to take the job.
He had expected a quick in and out, write a report on Potter's whereabouts, and send it off, but of course, it was never that simple where Potter was concerned. Forbade against his will from writing anything true about Potter to the press, he instead had to settle for coming up with increasingly preposterous lies to keep his secret life hidden. Surely nothing bad could come from Draco spending so much time around the reclusive Potter, right?

JK Rowling's opinions on trans rights are very harmful and dangerous and have prompted me to boycott Rowling's work despite my past affection for the books. I'm leaving this fic up because I know some folks still like to enjoy Harry Potter, but I urge readers to consider doing so only in ways that don't give Rowling more money and power to spend on attacking trans people at a time when the whole LGBTQ+ community, but our trans members most of all, are in such danger. As fans of a series that is literally about fighting oppression, I hope we can live up to the message of the books rather than the ideas of their misguided author. <3
