Guilt has set up a permanent home in his gut, and the smoldering remains of the devastation from the war’s fallout seem to constantly linger in the air around them. It is a grave reminder of their humanity— as is the very fact that Bakugo walks beside him, seeming far smaller than before. Kirishima pulls him closer, and they finish their walk to the dorms in silence.
