Plus, his best friend (who he maybe has the tiniest bit of a crush on) doesn't have a soulmate either, so he doesn't see what the problem is.
No one has to tell Oscar that he made a mistake. But he was young and naive and didn't realize how important Logan was going to become to him. He just wanted a friend, and he didn't particularly care about his soulmate in the first place, so he didn't see the issue. He wasn't proud of lying, but he was also in way too deep to take it back now.
But lies get out of hand, and soon they're staring down a lifetime of fighting each other in Formula One but nothing is how it should be, and they might be out of time and luck to fix it.
