Summary
“Careful,” Nanami hisses, a little winded. Before he can complain about the sudden and rough handling, his mouth is captured in a searing-hot kiss. Gojo’s lips are parted and hungry over his, the kiss wet with spit and made clumsy with impatience. It’s the graceless eagerness of a man starved.
Asking for a midday quickie is not exactly out of character for Gojo, but the desperation is unusual.

Summary
The first time Jensen meets Max, he's cuffed to a chair with a dislocated jaw. Things don't improve significantly from this point onwards.

Bookmarker's Notes
His fingers are suddenly, awfully gentle on Jensen’s face, and this is a trick, has to be, but when Jensen opens his eyes, Stalker-Guy actually looks kind of stricken, like maybe he thought Jensen was some kind of psycho—
“Oh, you bastard,” says Jensen, “You didn’t think I was working for him for fucking kicks, did you?” and then he throws up again

Summary
"Actually, you know, I get it. Rogers would be an excellent MARRY choice. You know that he'd never leave the toilet seat up, would never drink the last of the milk, and would clean the rain gutters without prompting," Darcy says. She's never really considered Steve as anything other than Captain America who is impossibly unapproachable; weirdly enough, the things she finds intimidating about him as a person oddly work for her in a domestic setting. "Ugh, plus you just KNOW Barton would be the type of fucker that would eat the last oreo and then shove the empty box back into the cupboard."
"So what's your list then, Darcy?" Jane asks, turning back to look at the mold, which has done exactly fuck all in the last half-hour.
"Don't rush me! I need to make an informed, calculated choice."
Darcy looks down at her pad, then back up at Natasha. She purses her lips in thought. "You've fucked Barnes, right? How dexterous is that metal hand?"
--
The ladies of SHIELD play a mass game of MARRY FUCK KILL, Avengers edition.
Wherein everyone marries Steve, kills Tony, Jane betrays science and Darcy hypothetically turns Thor into a llama.

Bookmarker's Notes
Everyone gets into it. Darcy isn't sure if it's surprising or not that the entire female population of the office wants to compare notes. SHIELD is lousy with statistics nerds.
Somehow, Darcy becomes keeper of the list. Which normally she wouldn't love because responsibility that you don't get paid for? No thanks. She's been an intern for three fucking years, show her the QUAN or whatever Cuba Gooding Jr. called it.
But god, it is entertaining as hell. And shocking. Louise in Finance (who is five foot nothing and size negative one hundred) actually wrote Hulk for FUCK. Not Bruce Banner. HULK.

Summary
Rolan thought things would be different once he reached Baldur's Gate.
Instead, he finds himself struggling to prove his worth as a wizard.
“I’m not pretending to know you, Rolan.” Gale lets out a shallow sigh, “But my eyes don’t deceive me. What I see is an apprentice wizard working as a shopkeeper, too untrained to cast even the simplest of spells!” Gale isn’t shouting, but his tone is stern, almost like he’s scolding a cat.
Rolan has held his composure through verbal assault, through beatings, but this?
Pity?
Pity is the last thing Rolan wants.

Bookmarker's Notes
Rolan hardly recognizes the reflection staring back at him. His light brown hair is longer, his horns are scratched, and the red of his skin looks a fair bit paler than he remembers it being. The bruise lining his jaw has faded into a deep red and his busted lip is swollen to hell, it's going to take a miracle to hide it.
He casts a ray of frost cantrip on the damp rag folded on his vanity, creating a makeshift cold compress. He holds it to his lip, letting the numbing effect of the chill wash away the pain, only removing it once the rag begins to warm. The swelling isn't completely gone, but it's down enough to keep any prying eyes from questioning him about it.
-----
Rolan's not good, very bad time as Lorroakan's apprentice, and the the wizard and vampire who won't have it.

Summary
“How old are you, Astarion?”
Astarion is not expecting the question, Halsin can tell by the way he jerks upright, spine straight, shoulders strong.
“Two-hundred-and-forty,” he answers without hesitation. “Give or take a few years.”
Halsin swallows, rewords his question. “How old were you when you were turned?”
Astarion goes quiet. Extremely, cacophonously quiet.
“Thirty-nine,” he finally says, a bolt straight into Halsin’s heart.
-
Halsin discovers Astarion was turned before his maturity and all the sacred elven rites that come along with it. Including the sex one.

Bookmarker's Notes
Astarion moves faster than any beast Halsin has ever encountered. More agile than a cat, more clever than a wolf. It’s the kind of grace elves are known for taken to an extreme that defies the physical limitations those of their race rarely confront. Halsin knows Astarion considers his vampirism a curse, but it’s moments like these where Halsin wishes Astarion could see him how he does: perfect, natural, beautiful.
